Design & Meaning

The colors used in the logo are indicative of the different disciplines that make up the core FirstNet user group: blue for law enforcement, red for fire services, white for EMS, and gold for public safety communication. The most notable piece of our logo is our shield, which embodies public safety’s mission of protecting people. Within the center of the shield is a communications tower which is representative of not only the public safety broadband network, but to the larger belief that each of us must continue to communicate and share ideas and information with one another. This all-inclusive logo is representative of the fact it is about all of us. The user, governance, network, application developer, and the thousands of people that will make FirstNet the greatest public safety network ever built.
