    LAS VEGAS, Nev.— The Public Safety Broadband Technology Association (PSBTA) and the Public Safety Spectrum Alliance (PSSA) congratulates Ms. Jessica Rosenworcel on her appointment as Acting Chairwomen of the
    Federal Communication Commission (FCC). Chairwomen Rosenworcel has served the FCC with distinction as a Commissioner since her appointment in 2012.

    “Chairwomen Rosenworcel has worked tirelessly on behalf of public safety” during her tenure on the FCC noted PSBTA President, Al Gillespie. He added, “we are excited for her leadership and look forward to working with her on behalf of public safety”. Gillespie went on to praise the President for his choice for Rosenworcel to lead the agency.

    Former San Jose Police Chief Chris Moore, a member of the Public Safety Spectrum Alliance (PSSA) leadership team and now a principal at Brooks Bawden Moore LLC, noted the importance of the appointment stating,
    “Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel has distinguished herself as someone who clearly understands the needs of public safety and has worked effectively with us for many years, while at the same time has balanced the needs of other stakeholders.”

    The PSBTA appreciates Chairwomen Rosenworcel tremendous understanding of the FCC. Her years of experience, record of accomplishments, and strong relationships in the industry makes her an excellent appointee to guide the agency now and in the future. She is ideally suited to lead the FCC and will make a positive impact on communication in the United States. The PSBTA looks forward to working with Chairwoman Rosenworcel and the FCC as broadband technology continues to impact the future of communications for
    public safety.
