The Public Safety Broadband Technology Association (PSBTA) is proud to host the FirstNet Goes to Washington: Lunch and Learn series, a set of congressional briefings that highlight the transformative impact of FirstNet on public safety communications. Born from the tragedy of 9/11, FirstNet was established by Congress in 2012 and has since become a global benchmark, enabling first responders to communicate and coordinate effectively, saving lives across America every day.

As we honor law enforcement during National Police Week, we extend a special invitation to congressional staff and public safety officials to learn how FirstNet is helping law enforcement enhance safety for officers and the communities they serve.

This session will spotlight law enforcement’s use of FirstNet to strengthen their service delivery and interoperability among agencies. We will examine how technology has advanced top priorities for law enforcement, including crime reduction and emergency response, enhancing officer safety and accountability, and strengthening border protection. During the session, law enforcement leaders will discuss how they have implemented FirstNet to support their crisis response and coordination in complex operations.

This event marks the final installment in a three-part briefing series designed to raise awareness about the vital role of secure, reliable, and dedicated FirstNet connectivity. Join esteemed guests, your colleagues, and public safety who will share their experiences and insights about the FirstNet network.
