On behalf of the Public Safety Broadband Technology Association (PSBTA), the Public Safety Spectrum Alliance (PSSA), our members, and industry partners, we would like to congratulate you on being confirmed by the United States Senate to serve as the Administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) within the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Your deep expertise in communications policy and clear recognition of the need for cutting- edge technology in public safety communications will be vital in representing the needs of public safety. With your proven leadership at the FCC and on Capitol Hill, you are well-positioned to advance innovation guided by thoughtful, effective policymaking.

We look forward to the positive contributions you will bring to this role, specifically addressing the urgent need for Congress to reauthorize the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet). Your knowledge of spectrum-related issues and the communications needs of first responders will make you an exceptional NTIA Administrator.

We encourage you to maintain the current configuration of the FirstNet Authority Board, which is central to maintaining and evolving the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network (NPSBN) to meet the needs of public safety.

On behalf of the PSBTA and PSSA, congratulations again on your confirmation and our best wishes for success in your new role. We look forward to working with you.
